The TJX Europe team (owners of TK Maxx and HomeSense) wanted to introduce a customer rewards programme to better understand their customers and evolve their shopping habits with the objective of encouraging them to make one more shop per year.



The solution was simple. Based on the TK Maxx shopper insight, we created a simple rewards programme, with a different reward every month for making just one purchase, plus exclusive news and invites to special instore events for the most loyal customers.
We built the progamme and infrastructure in conjunction with the TJX Europe brand team and then managed all aspects of the programme in the UK & Ireland over a 3 year trial period – from generating excitement with stores and colleagues, building the rewards portal, customer recruitment and data processing to an ongoing email marketing programme, rewards ideation and sourcing, event management, fulfillment and on-going monitoring and evaluation.
- Within the first year of the programme we exceeded our objective by encouraging each customer to shop an extra 1.2 times per year and also increasing average transaction value by 33%.
